Description de la mission

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a British engineering company delivering design and engineering activities for UK EPR projects in Britain. It is part of EDF Group. EPR-E brings together the expertise of EDF Group, along with the support of our key supply chain partners into one, integrated engineering company.

The JDO Disciplines Manager will be reporting operationally and functionally to the Head of Site Support Team.  They will also work in close relationship with the JDO manager of the Client, who will be their client and will prioritize their work on a daily basis. They will be located on HPC site.

The JDO Disciplines Manager will be the highest position of EPR-E embedded in the JDO, and as such will be part of the operational board and lead a team of the client’s JDO team. As such they will be accountable for the operational performance of the “designer” roles in the JDO and that the JDO technical staff part of the disciplines are SQEP. They are also accountable for the staffing of the JDO design skills consistently with long term needs expressed by the JDO Area Managers.

Acting as EPR-E Representative, they are accountable for :

  • Ensuring that the interests of EPR-E/EDVANCE/CNEPE in the JDO are respected in the day to day job – including Intellectual Property, as well as ensuring that the conditions are met to allow the RD guarantees on the design to be maintained after JDO has modified it
  • The overall continuity and the consistency of the EPR-E/EDVANCE/CNEPE design as amended by the JDO (architect role). They are acting as the technical integrator of the NI design once transferred to the JDO.
  • Ensuring that EPR-E/EDVANCE/CNEPE engineering method, tools, processes and referential, as well as conditions of the delegation received from the Edvance Back Offices, are enforced within the JDO.
  • Ensuring that Site Engineering and Construction OPEX is formalized and distributed to other projects within EDF entities.

In addition to their participation in the operational management of the JDO as a whole, the JDO discipline manager will be managing as a line manager the EPR-E/EDVANCE/CNEPE staff participating in the JDO, either directly or indirectly through the discipline leads (unless otherwise agreed during JDO implementation process).

In order to achieve its missions, the different JDO Discipline Leads will be reporting to the JDO Disciplines Manager. The JDO Disciplines Manager, directly or through the Discipline Leads, will have the levers necessary to select, assess and where necessary terminate embedment in the JDO of any staff working in the JDO-DT, whichever their mother company.

They will be the holder of the delegation from EPR-E/ EDVANCE/ CNEPE Back Offices to the JDO. They may sub-delegate some elements of this delegation (such as approval of design documents updates) to the Discipline Managers.
