Edvance, a company created on June 1, 2017 and owned 80% by EDF and 20% by Framatome, is in charge of the design and the realization of nuclear islands for new build projects in France and worldwide.
EDVANCE is responsible for the detailed design of Balance of Nuclear Island (BNI) and Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) pipework contracts on the HPC project.
Description de la mission
Following the delivery of pipework to the client (HO1) the responsibly for closure of remaining open points before the start of manufacturing (HO2) and delivery to site sits within the Edvance UK integrated teams.
The Post Delivery teams are tasked with closing out all possible open points that are impacting the piping design.
The role of the Post-Delivery Piping Engineer will consist of the following:
- Ownership and resolution of technical Open Points that are reducing the maturity of the design and are a risk to holding up manufacturing, consistently with the commercial scope instructed by the Client
- Production and delivery of Kick of Meetings and Maturity Reviews for the rework ahead of BNI/NSSS Piping HO2, in line with the delivery plan defined by the Piping Team Lead
- Production and delivery of CTS to communicate changes in the maturity of the piping design
- Creation of CAD Tasks to implement design changes
- Identifying and specifying the requirements of the relevant discipline scope and interfacing with other leads and/or external parties as appropriate.
- Contributing to further scope transfer within the ITB organisation
Profil
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Degree qualified in appropriate technical discipline
- Experience of piping design
- Experience using PDMS or similar software
- Knowledge of the HPC project context
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience in previous EPR or other nuclear projects is desirable
- French speaking is an advantage
Software and Tools:
Microsoft Word/Excel. Good knowledge of PDMS (or any 3D design software), Autocad 2D and Navisworks software (consultation).
