Job description
Framatome is owned by the EDF Group (75.5%), Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI – 19.5%) and Assystem (5%).
In the UK we are currently over 300 strong and our plans are to grow to 400-500 by 2025 through the development our UK nuclear service offerings.
Due to our ongoing growth, we are recruiting for a Buyer to join our Supply Chain Team on a fixed term contract. We welcome applicants who are looking for either full time or part time (min 30 hours) per week hours.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer will be responsible for the following:
· Liaise with Operations and other internal departments to identify internal stakeholders’ requirements
· Manage RFQ / support Tenders
· Evaluate offers and raise purchase orders
· Support in categorization of existing suppliers
· Source new suppliers based on provided specification
· Negotiate, create, and maintain Supplier agreements
· Support market analysis
· Monitor supplier delivery performance
Profile
To be considered the following qualifications, experience and skills are essential:
· Purchasing experience required
· Experience in manufacturing or construction setting required
· SAP or another ERP knowledge is a plus
· Experience of working with the following commodities is a plus (Industrial tooling, scaffolding, lifting, calibration, inox plates, pipes)
· Good IT skills
· Good communication skills
· Commercial/ technical degree bachelor level or above
