In the UK we are currently over 300 strong and our plans are to grow to 400-500 by 2025 through the development our UK nuclear service offerings.

For our subsidiary business, EPR-E, which is joint venture between Framatome and EDF, we are looking to recruit a Steelwork Coordinator for our current Steelworks team that covers both HPC and SZC projects.

The Steelwork Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and piloting steelwork delivery for HPC. The role will involve ensuring maturity of a package of work and delivering the work package on time to The Client.

The Coordinator will need to liaise with key stakeholders to ensure the required inputs are available and the scope is clear before detailed design commences. The Coordinator will then lead the delivery of the design and manage the configuration.

The role will start on HPC Project with a likely increase of scope to cover SZC in 2025/2026. This role will evolve to also cover SZC.

Main Activities will include:

  • Coordinating steelwork platform designs to ensure design is mature.
  • Liaising with the building layout and piping teams to coordinate the design,
  • Smoothing the path for timely engineering delivery
  • Managing Open Points to mitigation and resolution
  • Maintaining EPRE’s QA procedures in delivering the SW design,
  • Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures,
  • Liaising with colleagues in Edvance Paris
  • Resolving identified technical issues.
  • Receive, analyse and verify the consistency of the input data.
  • Manage schedule impacts resulting from changes.

Profile

 

To be considered, the following qualifications, experience and skills are essential.

  • Ability to deliver in a complex environment.
  • Experience in planning and delivering.
  • Demonstratable organisation and planning skills
  • Confident in presenting to an experienced audience.
  • Ability to problem solve and close open points.
  • Able to comfortably discuss engineering topics.
  • Clear communication skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Understanding of UKDC process and CW/SW delivery sequence

 Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Design of seismically classified steel platforms and structures from concept to detailed design delivery.
  • Use of 3D modelling and structural analysis tools.
  • Knowledge / Understanding of PWRs
  • Experience in the nuclear sector and plant layout engineering would be advantageous
  • Knowledge/understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering and especially knowledge of the design of fastenings and anchorages in concrete.
  • Knowledge of the design of reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete structures
  • Knows how to deal with the design and layout constraints.
  • Anchorage design understanding.
  • French language skills
