Job description
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 in charge of the design and the realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide.
In particular, EDF EPR-E UK is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project.
At HPC we are building two new nuclear reactors, the first in a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK providing low carbon electricity for around six million homes.
We are looking to recruit for the role of Configuration Manager for the Sizewell C project :
· Responsibility, delegated from the Employer, of SZC PDO EI documents (Strategies, Plans, Procedures, Manuals, Guidances) relating to Configuration Management (see CMS&P [5]):
o Design Changes and implementation processes
o Design Open Points
o Technical Interfaces
o Referential Evolution and Exemptions
• SZC Project wide configuration management oversight and coordination role, through the different SZC Project Configuration related governance forums
· Equivalent responsibilities for NSA Consortium analogous scope as part of the NSA Consortium Leader Technical Directorate:
o Responsibility of Configuration Management procedures (INS).
o NSA Consortium configuration management oversight and coordination role (see details below in “interface” section) etc.
Plant Integration Services external interfaces
· PDO EI Configuration Management and Replication Intelligent Customer lead: key individual who acts as Intelligent Customer of Configuration Management activities supplied by PI.
· SZC Information Management lead: key stakeholder in the configuration management through responsibility in the management of information (Data) within SZC etc.
NSA Technical Directorate external interfaces
· NSA Contract and Project Managers: interface between technical and project/contract processes (specifically Variations to the NSA Contract)
· Edvance and CNEPE technical directions and configuration managers/teams:
o The position provides the configuration framework for Edvance/CNEPE to manage their configuration. Edvance/CNEPE contributes to maintenance of procedures owned by PI through feedback (Lessons Learnt) etc.
Profile
To be considered the following qualifications, experience and skills are essential:
· Experience (min 10 years) in the nuclear industry with a very good understanding of UK EPR technology
· Technical Integration / Configuration Management knowledge
· Management skills
· Ability to deal with multiple interfaces
· Organisational skills, capability to meet commitments and deadlines
· Leadership, pro-activeness
· Communication & interpersonal skills
Desirable Qualifications, Experience and Skills
